City tour to Lima

For additional cost you can experience a City tour to Lima

  • Our comprehensive full day tour of Perú´s capital starts in the historical center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A guided tour of San Francisco, the city’s most visited church (1674) is included in the tour. Its underground tunnels lead to catacombs that served as cemetery until 1808 and still contain bones and skulls. We then walk to the main square, where the cathedral and other beautiful buildings stand out. Just a few steps from the square we see Lima´s old train station 'Desamparados' in Art Noveau style. We pass by Casa de Aliaga the oldest colonial house in Latin America and still owned by the same family since the viceroyalty. After reaching the beautiful square 'Plaza San Martin', surrounded by buildings in Republican style, we stroll along China Town, the perfect spot for an insight into the influence of different waves of immigration to the Peruvian culture and its cuisine. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we explore Barranco, the bohemian district of the city and home of Perú's most renowned art galleries. Then we head to the upper class district of San Isidro to pass by the Olive Grove Wood whose seeds were brought from Seville in the 16th century. In Miraflores, we stroll through the popular Park Kennedy, before we reach our last stop at the Park of Love for a stunning view over the seemingly endless Pacific Ocean.
