The ETD 2012 Organizing Committee invites you to submit a
proposal for a paper or poster presentation at ETD 2012: "Integrating
cultures for the creation and exchange of knowledge -
providing opportunities for the future".
Proposals will be accepted until May 31, 2012.
If you are interested in giving a paper
and power point presentation, or contributing a poster,
please read the following information:
Structured abstracts should be 200 - 300 words in length in
a standard word processing format using a research abstract
style that includes:
Authors will be able to use the online portal to view abstract approval status and to upload revised versions of the abstract. Completed, final versions of abstracts for papers are due by Thursday, May 31, 2012. Notification of paper/poster acceptances will be announced to authors on June 30, 2012. Final versions of research papers for conference proceedings must be deposited in the ETD2012 paper repository by July 30, 2012.
Each of the parallel sessions of the conference: National and International Open Access, Digital Preservation, Copyright intellectual property, ETD policies and programs, Technological Development in ETD and Institutional Repository, Digital Libraries and Information Technologies, National and International Collaborations, Data Curation, Interoperability and Union Collections) will contain a number of two-hour slots. In order to allow as broad a range of presentations as possible, individual speakers should aim to talk for 20 minutes (including questions). Multifaceted presentations involving a number of speakers may be submitted in the form of a forty minutes session.
Print poster presenters must also deposit a PDF version of the final poster or e-presentation by July 30, 2012 or bring the poster with them to the conference. Electronic poster presenters may submit a multimedia version of their "poster", approximately two minutes in length, with narrative.
